This movie might not have a happy ending, it might not even have an ending at all... But it is a really cool movie. Bill Murray is like good wine he just gets better and better with the years. It is somewhat the "Lost in translation" style and then again not.
If you havent allready go see this one!

The Copenhagen Film festival is taking place these days and Saturday we decided to go se a funny comedy called "
El Penalti más largo del mundo" (The longest penalty in the world).
It was a funny story about a local soccerteam who was about to win the local soccer league. In the final minute the ref calls a penalty and the crowd goes wild and invates the field. The golie is injured and the replacement has never played before! The penalty will take place one week later and decide weather the team wins or looses. We follow the replacement in the week up to the penalty where he trains and makes things the best for himself since a lot counts on this.

New masterpiece from Robert Rodriguez called Sin City (
IMDB link). I love Roberts movies and had to see this one eventhough the style was different from the previous films by him.
I don't know Frank Millers comicbooks on which the movie is based but the film was made as a perfect mix between real actors and the comic fantasy world that was the scene of the movie. It was a bit like Pulp fiction meeting the comic-book world.
Even with heavy voilence the movie wasn't too rough for Sandra to see since the voilence was greatly incorporated in the story and didn't seem mal-placed.
For sure a movie to recommend!

On Friday we went to see the last of the Colombian movies at the NatFilm festival here in Copenhagen. Sandra had warned me that it was a sad movie and she was right.
Abandoned kids selling roses, sniffing glue, stealing to get food in a poor neighborhood in Colombia. We followed a few of these kids in their pursuit for happiness. Some of them only 10 years old when they run away to live on the street some because they are beaten or abused.
Not eveyrone is as fortunate as us...

On Saturday we went to see a new Colombian film with Sandras friend Kirstin who is from the US. They show two films this year in the film festival from Colombia so we will ofcourse see them both!
This movie was a classic funny thriller :-) Good humor, cool plot and a few hours of entertainment. Here is what the Natfilmfestival wrote:
"One Morning, the police discover a terrible crime: a body impaled in a pointed stick by the banks of a beautiful lake near Bogotá. To solve the case, journalist Victor Silampa and his occasional companion, office worker Emir Estupiñán, must explore the intricacies of a of a story that is macabre but also very human and entertaining. With the help of Quica, a young prostitute, and after doing a few favours for the Colonel in charge of the case, our protagonists have to risk their lives but manage to get to the bottom of a huge real speculation scheme. Corrupt politicians and entrepreneurs, prostitutes, esmeralderos, enthusiastic nudists and journalists of all persuasions make up the mosaic of characters, with Bogotá as their setting."
Worth af watch!
