A 'few' fotos of Andrea playing in the first real snow this winter.

I know that we on the 5th of September wrote that Andrea was walking more than 2-3 steps. That was rigth though it only happened that one day and she kept to crawling around and sometimes going forward on her knees.

But this past weekend she finally began to walk more than crawling. So now it is official that she is walking!

For more than a month Andrea has been takeing a few steps but never enough for us to say that she was walking.

But today she finally is walking around with more steps so this will be the official date for her walking abilities.

Today Andrea made her first climb of all the stairs from the first floor (stuen) to the 2nd floor (1. sal) all by herself. Going up is easy but comming down (in the easy form is dangerous!) again is much more difficult.

She will be 11 months in a week and are taking steps at the moment to walk. For example is she walking with a wagon, using chairs, around the bed etc. so it might be soon.

Still with just her two teeth but using them really well biting all her food.

With her 10½ months now Andrea is experimenting with her ballance. Standing up she often let go of what she is holding on to and ballancing for some seconds. Her record is 8-10 seconds without sitting down.

Monday the 3rd of July Andrea got her space in the daycare (Dagpleje). Pia is the name of the woman who is going to take care of Andrea in the hours of the day where Sandra and I are working. She is a 32 years old woman with 2 kids of her own. Andrea at first was not too happy that we left her there but lately she is happy to go and play with the other children there.

Andrea decided to stop growing for some months and instead she is doing new stuff all the time. She kan now walk a little bit with for example a chair or something else that she can take with her.
The other day she managed to turn off the radio (something she does a lot) but not only that she tuned on the CD player and started to play the CD.
Toothwise the two middle teeth in the lower mouth are days or hours from breaking through.

Today around 16.00 Andrea took her first adventures crawling around. We cought it on video so that you can all enjoy this development step.

Today she is 8 months and 19 days old.

Yesterday Andrea slept for the first time in her own room. Sandra and I was a bit nervous about how she would react to that but she took it really well. She only woke up once during the night to eat and slept happily in her room and bed. So I guess the people most worried about the whole thing was her parents.

After a quiet period on the gallery many more fotos are now online!

* First babyswim. Andrea was silent at first but she got around to it and enjoyed a lot.

She now turned 8 kg. and 70 cm!
