I'm at the moment considering the future and form of this blog and our photo gallery.

This is why no new photos has made its way to the gallery and no news to this blog.

We went Socorro, Luis Fernando, Kanna, Gunnar, Andrea, Sandra and Lars. Here is what Mærsk wrote afterwards: "This year’s Family Day at Odense Steel Shipyard took place with record-breaking 10,000 visitors who visited the workshops, ate lunch in the sun and toured the newbuilding ELLY MÆRSK.

Employees at Esplanaden in Copenhagen had received 500 tickets to the event, which were “sold” within a few days. Sunday morning at 9 am, five busses took off towards Funen, and a few hours later the Esplanaden employees and their families got to tour the Yard. Most enjoyed the day and the rare occasion to visit ELLY MÆRSK - the new E-class container vessel.

“We really enjoyed our trip out to OSS yesterday. It was a fantastic opportunity to see their activities from really close, particularly appreciated that people could just walk about anywhere! Unfortunately we did not make it to visit the vessel because of the extremely long queue, but the day was really fantastic,” says John van Breugel, FACT.

This is the first time that employees at Esplanaden have been invited to the Odense Steel Shipyard Family Day that is primarily for the Yard’s own employees. Given this Sunday’s success an initiative has been taken to also invite Esplanaden employees and their families to the next Family Day which will be in 2009."

We had a great and interesting day!

Sandra had an accident with her leg so we are not doing much outside the house these days. Not that the weather is telling us to do stuff outside but anyway it is boring not to be able to get out.

Now Sandra is moving around the house a bit but still have to use the leg-cast for another 3-4 weeks.

I had forgotten all about this one. I got a fine in February (my first ever so not that bad considering that I had my driverslicense for more than 10 years now) for driving in the bus lane. Apparently you cannot do that so watch out :-)

We took the long trip to Aalborg to see Shakira! It was her first real concert in Denmark and the only one this time so it was given that we had to go!

Today I used most of the day sorting fotos and videos from our recent trip to Colombia. It turns out that we have about 5200 fotos from the trip and more than 3GB of video so I hope to get around 800-1000 of the best fotos online here and on Colombia.dk soon!

...Sandra and I got maried in a lovely finca a little outside Bogota. Today we will celebrate with a night out just the two of us.

It is noy only because Andrea started to walk that this page has been quiet for a while. In all of November we were really busy getting ready for our 5 week trip to Colombia. Packing, getting ready at work etc. and from early December to last Thursday we were in Colombia traveling around for most of the time. I hope to update 'back-in-time' with some of our stories and experiences. More Colombia specific stuff you can find at www.colombia.dk.

I finally got some new fotos online. They are mostly from June and July 2006 so not that old!

Here we go: Fotos from Andreas bath in our little garden, Sandra signing the contract from Mærsk, Andrea walking with her Gå-vogn, our visit in Gilleleje where Kanna & Gunnar rented a summerhouse and Thomas' 33rd birthday with garden work.

Sandra got her first full time job here in Denmark after 4 interviews at Mærsk.

She will be working in the HR department of the container business unit. She will be working with internal education programmes for new employees and former captains who wants to become leaders after their time at sea.

First day of work will be the 14th of August.
